ÄNTLIGEN har Apple erkänt problemet med att vissa PB G4 helt plötsligt "tappar kontakt" med en av minnesplatserna. Man har nu dragit igång ett reparationsprogram. Inte en dag för sent. Själv har jag redan fått moderkortet utbytt tidigare pga av detta fel men samtidigt har man ju varit orolig om det skulle ske igen efter att garantin gått ut.

Inte en dag för sent, som sagt. Tyvärr faller vi utanför som har exakt samma problem, av - en till visshet gränsade sannolikhet - samma orsak, på de tidgare modellserierna. Min 1.25Ghz PB G4 (2 år gammal) är inlämnad till service med detta kända (och numera _er_kända) fel, men mina möjligheter att slippa betala hela kalaset själv verkar vara små. Dock är ju denna nyhet ett ytterligare argument i mina diksusssioner med service.

min dator ligger utanför den serien men upplever samma problem, övre minnesslotten vill inte läsa ngt minne alls och jag får en kernel panic vid uppstart

Jag reagerade också på det där - jag och många andra med powerbooks från höstan 2004 har upplevt samma problem.
