Jag har problem med mitt ATI Radeon 8500-grafikkort. Det blir "pop" och "sprak" inblandat i ljudet när jag har kortet installerat. Sätter man i original-kortet till datorn (GeForce 2 MX) så funkar det såklart fint.
Det skumma är att om jag slänger in ATI-kortet i mammas Dual G4 533 MHz så uppstår inte problemet.
Jag har flyttat runt PCI-kort och gjort det ena och det andra på min maskin utan förbättring.
Därför undrar jag nu om det finns någon vänlig själ i Malmö-området som har en G4 "Quicksilver" (helst 867 MHz från år 2001) som har lust att pröva kortet så man kan se om det bara är i min maskin som felet uppkommer.
Vore väldigt snällt om någon ville hjälpa.
ATI-supporten har varit hjälpsam via email, men sen jag sagt att kortet verkade fungera fint i en annan dator säger de:
"Regarding pops and clicks mixed in with the audio when using the built-in audio port of the computer:
We really cannot explain why the card will work on one system as opposed to another.
If the sound card has any updates then you should install them.
(jag har ett extra ljudkort, men det har jag testat ta ut och tagit väck drivisar)
Also you should make sure to report the issue to Apple as well to see if they have had any reports. Maybe OS updates correct this issue.
The cause of the isue can really be anything. Check with aPPLE and see what they have to say on the issue."
