I´m using a Lombard w/10.2.1 and 512MB RAM. I´ve got the low-profile 256MB SO-DIMM in the bottom slot. I´ve had a checkered history with this configuration. I ran it for a while in the 10.1.x series without problems, then my logic board & processor card fried. Apple replaced them, but blamed my RAM ($400), when I got the machine back, I exchanged my RAM for another set of SO-DIMMS. I tried to install 10.2--it failed. Apple replaced the logic board & processor card again (this time under warranty).
Since that time, I´ve been rock-solid in 10.2.1 with my 512MB RAM.
Anyway, the Lombard is known to have issues with cache memory, processor cards and possibly the RAM controller chip, so I think it´s a little bit of a crap shoot to find out if it will work.
Låter inte helt tryggt..
