There are some technical issues, for example, and one of those is the incompatibility between Mac and PC versions of this game. Neither MacSoft nor Westlake Interactive can be held to blame for this disappointment, as it's Microsoft's networking technology, called DirectPlay, which is at the heart of the Windows version and, unfortunately, enjoys no Macintosh counterpart. Simply put, Mac and PC versions of Dungeon Siege speak different languages, regardless of what kind of network they're on, and so the only gamers you'll be able to enjoy this gem with will be other Mac gamers.
